The Main business of the Company is to handle The Cargo on behalf of the exporters at Kolkata and Haldia Dock and for that purpose the Company has got license from Kolkata Port Trust.
The Main works performed by the Company in the connection with cargo handling are as follow:-
1) Cargo transport from Railways Siding to plot, both lying in the Port area and same premises.
2) Stevedoring.
3) Cargo handling from plot to jetty and shifting the same to dock and loading in the barges.
4) Loading in trucks and shifting the cargo to dock and loading in the barges.
5) Supply of Grabs.
6) Customs Clearance and documentation.
7) Unloading, Stacking and Heaping.
8) Engagement of dock labour
At present the Company handles the cargo i.e. Iron Ore for leading Iron Ore Exporters from India which includes M/s. Essel Mining & Industries Ltd, Aditya Birla Group.
